Hoods & Sidescreens
Properly made and fitted hood and sidescreen, correctly aligned to the windscreen, the body and each other fully compliment the outstanding crisp lines of the T-Type body. There are few cars which look as good as the T –type with the hood and sidescreens erected. Originally the cars left the factory with a light tan coloured hood and sidescreens made from duck or canvas. The weather equipment that we supply is made from top quality mohair in either black or beige, we can also supply the weather equipment in beige or black vinyl The hardware is not fitted so that you can correctly tailor the hood and sidescreens to your car. If you have any doubts about the correct method or tailoring we recommend that you seek the professions advice of a local vehicle trimmer.
The only major change in the hood design was at TD20374 for LHD cars and TD20696 for the RHD cars when the original 2-bow hood frame was replaced by the 3-bow design with the third bow fitted to give slightly more cockpit headroom. The sidescreen frames were altered to match the new hood frame.
